Our Heritage

The history of our business began in the 1950s when grandfather of the Bain family, John Christie Bain opened his shop in the village of Tarves.

Since then, the tradition has been continuously preserved and built throughout three generations, from the late John Bain to his successors. Aberdeenshire Larder was established in 2002 and continues on the same founding principles of quality and value. With a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in the butchery industry, the family business continues to grow.
